Tank vs. Tankless Water heaters

Have you heard of, or are wondering whether or not you should switch to a tankless water heater? Please contact us to discuss which is right for your space. Here are some things to think about:

TANK-TYPE WATER HEATER:

  • Home typically already has one, and replacement will likely cost less;
  • Tanks have fewer working parts, and maintenance is minimal, e.g. only requires flushing every 1-2 years;
  • Typically comes with a manufacturer's 6 year warranty.

TANKLESS-TYPE WATER HEATER:

  • Space-saving footprint;
  • Energy-saving since there's no standing water to heat; endless hot water, but NOT instant unless a recirculating solution is installed;
  • Maintenance is minimal although must be performed annually;
  • Typically comes with a manufacturer's 12 year warranty for Residential single-family homes.

Water Heaters: tank and tankless

Water heaters are something we don't typically think about until something goes wrong. When your water heater isn't working, you will know it whether you notice leaking, strange noises, or simply no longer have hot water. Sometimes, it's a simple fix, but other times it needs to be replaced. Whether it is a tank or tankless water heater, we specialize in correctly diagnosing, making the necessary repair, or replacement with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
